Tiger Kingdom Phuket

Mixed feelings. The place is clean and organized, however after the experience I feel the tigers had been sedated. Would not go again

Visiting Tiger Kingdom Phuket was an unforgettable experience, but I left with mixed feelings. The playful cubs were adorable, energetic, and well-cared-for. It was reassuring to see that the cubs weren’t sedated, and we had the unique opportunity to play with and pet them for about 10 minutes, which was definitely a highlight. However, my concerns grew when I saw the larger tigers and cheetahs. They appeared lethargic, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were sedated to make interactions with tourists safer. While the staff assured us the animals are well taken care of, it's hard to ignore the ethical dilemma behind keeping wild animals in such a setting purely for entertainment. On a positive note, the facility itself seemed clean, and the animals appeared to be in decent physical condition. The grounds were well-maintained, and the staff seemed knowledgeable and respectful toward the animals. Overall, while it was a unique experience to be up close with these majestic creatures, I left feeling conflicted. It's worth a visit if you're curious, but keep in mind the ethical concerns that come with these types of tourist attractions.

Do not go Unethical Drugged up, hit with sticks, large tigers kept in a very small cage with no where to even move Felt really bad after seeing this - should not visit Should be shut down !

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This place is a disgrace and should be closed down right away. Anybody visiting this place does not care about the welfare of these animals. Tigers are drugged up to be docile enough for photo opportunities and are living lives with very little natural behaviour permitted. These animals are being used and abused for profit and this place should not exist. If you care about tigers at all, avid, avoid, avoid.

We had an amazing time with the tigers, it was an amazing experience. When we went it wasn’t very busy and only had to wait 30 to go in with the tigers.
